MODO designed this 3 storey, 810 student primary school block in 2020 for Oasis Primary School. The new building addresses the existing inadequate temporary structures that were being used. The school sits on approximately 1 acre with the primary school building footprint on 500 SQM. The existing underground water tank is to be rehabilitated and re-used as the main water storage and supplementary overhead tanks to be installed within the pitched roof.

The building façade appreciates use of the natural stone material that is keyed with the structural elements plastered and finished with texture to enhance the vertical elements. The two side walls to the south and the west are clad with natural stone as feature walls.

The construction commenced with the drilling and equipping of the borehole by Spar drilling in 2021 as this was the most sustainable water source in the area. We look forward to the commencement of the main structure in 2022.
