With the increased need for housing in metropolitan areas, we provided a design for 30 residential apartments in a 16 Storey building in Eastleigh, which is a rapidly growing urban node of Nairobi.

The concept encompasses deconstructivist architecture seen in the projecting balconies that not only return to the outer envelope of the main structure at the Floor slab location but also vertically rise across two floor levels to create an alternating and climbing feature on the facade. This design feature creates a play and evokes a modern and futuristic approach to residential design on a fairly tight and linear plot. The side elevations are accentuated using two imposing vertical strips that are lit using recessed external LED’s and broken at the staircase lobby area with horizontal bands
